As I haven’t done anything for a while I’ve decided to make a graph of the Conference South average attendance stats. I’ve taken the data from the superb ‘turnstile league’ on the Blue and Gold Trust website. As it also has the attendances for last season I’ve created a graph to enable an easy comparison.
Ebbsfleet, who seem to be turning into a bit of a yo-yo club currently lead the field, it’s supporters, so far, not deserting the club after their latest relegation from the Conference Premier. Eastleigh in 3rd place seem to be enjoying a small rise in attendances which has come from having a successfully season on the pitch, which cannot have been harmed by offering free entry to their match against Hayes and Yeading this season.
At the other end of the table Hayes and Yeading are still feeling the effects of their exile, currently ground-sharing with Woking their current average attendance has slid to a mere 148. Boreham Wood who are struggling in the league have also experienced a small decrease whilst Whitehawk have missed out on receiving the bounce in attendances which usually accompanies promotion, their attendances standing practically still.
